Welfare Party of India welcomes PM Modi's statement on religious fre...

New Delhi (17th February, 2015) Welfare Party of India expressed happiness that finally Mr.  Modi has broken his silence over communal polarisation and religious intolerance in the country and has welcomed the statement that the government will not tolerate any religious violence and would ensure complete freedom of all faith in India.
Welfare Party national general secretary P. C. Hamzah in a statement said that ever since the BJP led Modi government took power at the centre, the nation started witnessing series of communal disturbances. Leaders of various Sangh outfits including ministers and MPs have been making venomous, abusive and even violent remarks against religious minorities. Silence of the Prime Minister created wide criticism and invited suspicions.

Welfare Party welcomed the statement of Mr. Modi at a Christian function in the national capital that "the government will not allow any religious group, belonging to majority or minority to incite hatred against others overtly and covertly" and that "the government stands by every word of avowed constitution.”  The Party national general secretary hoped that future deeds of Modi will substantiate his words.
